its historical colonial ambiance along with star rated

Nestling in the lap of Satpura Hills, Pachmarchi, the
hill station of the Centeral provinces is situated on an
isolated plateau in the Mahadeo hills of the Satpura
range in the south eastern corner of the Hoshangabad
district. The characteristics of Pachmarhi scenery are
its forest glades, ravines, waterfalls, bathing pools,
caves, rock paintings sacred places and satpura national
park. The entire plateau
covers an area of 13 sq kms, providing 74 kms of cross country
trek at a stretch in and around. It has 20 known water places
with about half a dozen waterfalls, a string of Khuds and hill
tops, and every where there are view points at about 61 places.
one of the main charms of nature's beauty is its wonderful play
of colour, especially in the evening when the rich red of
sandstone scalp mellow in to an indescribable variety of
delicate shades of purple and violet in the evening sun.
There are nearly 61 view points and places of interest in the
vicinity which can be grouped as under-
- Hills, mountains and valleys providing thrill for mountaineers
- Water falls, pools and streams providing water recreation
- Places having religious and archaeological importance.
Pachmarhi also features an 18-hole golf course of 5,546 yards. Adding on
to the excitement, Pachmarhi has a beautiful lake in
which boating in the evenings would be an unforgettable
experience. Further, for people who love adventure -rock
climbing, parasailing and bunjy jumping would be a strong
attraction.

Area Informations |
Situated at a height of 3,501 feet above sea
level and part of the Satpura Range, Pachmarhi is the only hill station of Madhya Pradesh. All
round the plateau rise a number of hills of
interesting outline, the highest of which is
Dhoopgarh (4429ft above the sea level).
Pachmarhi is divided in civil area station which
is under the control of Cantonment Board
authorities and the SADA area. The civil station
area is extended adjacent to the cantonment
limits, in the south-west direction over the
plateau between the Hogs and rajendragiri. The
SADA committee area further extends over to the
north.
