Area Information

Mysore is located on the fringes of the Deccan Plateau, at the height of 770 metres and enjoys mild, clement weather all year round. It is 135 kilometres southwest of Bengaluru, the capital of the state Karnataka. Not far from the city are the River Cauvery, the Western Ghats and sandalwood forests.
