The WelcomHeritage Royal Camp concept borrows from and
expands on the royal safari and 'shikar' hunting camps
of a bygone age. The luxury tents each with verandah,
bedrooms and bathrooms are custom made using the finest
of Marwar traditional skills and weaving in the best of
modern comforts. Delectable Rajasthani cuisine is served
in a large dining tent and there is a large open
reception tent with seating areas. With dusk, comes the
campfire around which various performances indigenous to
the Thar desert takes place - be it music and dance or
magic or puppet shows, juggling, flame throwing, camel
parades… |

The
little pilgrim town of Pushkar is only 11 km from
the city of Ajmer and yet seems a world apart. The
winding road from Ajmer crosses the Nag Parbat
(Snake Mountain) pass in the Aravalli Hills and
suddenly you chance upon the view of the Pushkar
lake bounded by hills on three sides and the
peaceful town by its side.
